Lower Back Tattoos.

What is meant when we say lower back tattoos?
We mean the area just above the waistband of a pair of jeans, shorts, trousers or a skirt.
Usually three quarters to the full width of the back and three to four inches in height.
This is a very specific area within the tattooing arena, it is not just anywhere below the mid point of ones back.

Although I believe that very few tattoo designs and positions are gender specific, this particular position and style is by far predominated by female fans of body art.
It has become a must have fashion accessory like no other tattoo before.

Lower back tattoos are usually designed to have flowing symmetrical lines radiating from the central point which is set directly over the spine.
They will form a very natural looking image, this will look stunning when following the curvature of the back and hips.
There seems to be something inherently sensual about having the design placed in this position.
